As you have probably guessed by now, I am highly passionate about all things organizing. That being said, I have a confession to make in light of keepin' it real. I tend to haphazardly begin a handful of projects at once, trying desperately to complete a part of each one everyday, only to feel like a failure because I accomplished nothing. I worked on this little habit of mine mid-year of 2014 and started to improve. All of a sudden, I'm back in the thick of it, with over five different projects at once swirling through my head, not to mention sprawled out throughout my home. Ultimately, I have discovered that I am impatient while finding perfect solutions to solve the issue at hand for whatever current project. We've all got our 'thing'. Mine is finding what I want, when I want it, within my budget. So not real life.
So to keep myself streamlined and organized, I've gone back to the drawing board. Knowing myself, I am a paper and pen type of gal. If it is written down, it gets done and checked off. Enter a fabulous freebie I stumbled across on the web.
Now I am able to begin my projects at will, just on paper. Once one project is complete, I will begin to implement the next. If the plan begins to stall, I will put that project off to the side and move on. 2015 will be the year of one project at a time!
What kind of tasks do you get overwhelmed with? Do you tackle one thing at a time or do you find yourself struggling with many things at once? Let me know, I would love to hear you keepin' it real!
